About

Lisa Fries is a Brooklyn based Costume Designer with a passion for period pieces and slice-of-life New York stories. Her credits as Costume Designer include the Emmy award winning “A Crime To Remember” and feature films “After Class” (Justin Long, Fran Drescher, Richard Schiff) and “First One In” (Georgia King, Kat Foster, Michael Ian Black).

As an Assistant Costume Designer, Lisa has worked on amazing New York comedies “Search Party” (Alia Shawkat, John Early), “Betty” (dir. Crystal Moselle) and High Maintenance.  Additionally, Lisa was the ACD on the 70’s set Ted Bundy thriller, “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” (Zac Efron, John Malkovich, Lily Collins).

Lisa is a union member of both IATSE Local 829 and 764. She prides herself on being a jack-of-all-trades, having experience in almost every role in the costume & wardrobe departments. Prior to focusing on design, Lisa was a full-time Tailor & Wardrobe Supervisor on a large range of projects.

Most recently Lisa founded Puck Vintage, a vintage clothing boutique bringing you stand-out, colorful pieces from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. With an eye for fun and wearable pieces, sustainably sourced, repaired and shipped – the shop’s motto is Happy Vintage for a Happy Planet!
